SSC CHSL 2019 eligibility criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria have been set for SSC CHSL 2019. Only candidates who fulfill these qualifications will be considered eligible to apply for SSC CHSL 2019

  • Educational Qualification
    • Must have passed 12th standard from any recognized institute.
    • For Data Entry Operator, the candidate should have passed 12th standard with Mathematics (Science Stream).
  • Age limit (as on 1 August 2019)
    • At least 18 years
    • Maximum – 27 years
    • Age relaxation
      • Age relaxation is given to other categories candidates (SC / ST- 5 years, OBC- 3 years, PH- 10 years, PH + OBC- 13 years and PH + SC / ST- 15 years).

SSC CHSL Application Form 2019

The applications for SSC CHSL 2019 were started online. Candidates could apply by visiting the SSC website. Apart from this, candidates could also apply from the link given by us. For your information, let us tell you that the application form was released on March 5, 2019. The last date to fill the application form was April 5, 2019. Candidates are informed that offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates must check their eligibility once before filling the application form.

The application form will be filled in four stages. First of all, the candidates have to register. After that, your signature and your passport size photo will have to be scanned and uploaded. In the third phase, the candidate has to fill all the information sought. In the final stage, the candidate has to pay the application fee. Only after this complete process will the candidate’s application form be accepted. Candidates should fill all the information to be filled in the application form accurately and properly. In case of filling any wrong information, your application can be canceled.

Application fee

Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2019 will also have to pay the application fee. Application fees will also be filled online. Candidates can pay the application fee by 7 April 2019 through net banking, credit card or debit card. Candidates can also pay by SBI Bank Challan. SBI Bank Challan can be paid by April 9, 2019.

SSC CHSL Admit Card 2019

The admit card of SSC CHSL 2019 will be released online. Candidates will be able to get their admit card by visiting the SSC website. Apart from this, you will also be able to get your admit card from the link given by us. For your information, let us tell you that all the candidates, whose applications will be accepted, will be issued the admit card for the examination. Admit card candidates have to download themselves. No hard copy of any candidate’s admit card will be sent by SSC. However, no official announcement of the date of issuing the admit card has been made yet. Let us know that SSC CHSL 2019 exam will start from July 1, 2019. Admit card will be issued about 10-15 days before the start of the examination.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2019

The SSC CHSL 2019 exam will be conducted in three phases. Which will include Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III Only the candidates who succeed in these three will be selected.

  • Tier-I (Computer Based Examination)
    • There will be a test of 200 marks.
    • 100 questions will be asked.
    • All the questions will be objective type.
    • This exam will be a computer-based exam.
    • Negative marking will be done.
    • 60 minutes of time will be given for the exam.
    • Questions will be asked on these topics-
      • General intelligence
      • General awareness
      • Quantitative aptitude
      • English and Hindi language

Only the candidates who get success in this examination will be considered to be able to take the next stage i.e. Tier-2 examination.

  • Tier-II (Descriptive Questions)
    • Descriptive type of questions will be asked in this exam.
    • A time of 20 minutes will be given.
    • There will be a total test of 100 marks.
    • This exam will be in pen and paper mode.
    • This exam will be in Hindi or English language.

Based on the marks obtained in Tier 1 and Tier 2 examination, the candidates will be shortlisted and called for the next stage.

  • Tier-III (Skill Test)
    • This exam will be based on the skill of the candidates.
    • Typing test etc. will be done in this exam.

The merit list will be released after examinations for these three stages. The candidates will be appointed keeping in view the performance of the candidates in all the three phases. The candidates who will be selected according to the merit list will be called for document verification.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India which recruits employees for various posts in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in subordinate offices. The Commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) consisting of the Chairman, two members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. On 4 November 1975, the Government of India set up a commission called the Subordinate Services Commission. On 26 September 1977, the Subordinate Services Commission was renamed as Staff Selection Commission. The functions of the Staff Selection Commission were redefined by the Government of India through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions on 21 May 1999. Then the new constitution and work of the Staff Selection Commission came into effect from 1 June 1999. SSC is organized every year.
