IGNOU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates must have got 50% marks in graduation in Science, Commerce or Arts to appear for the entrance exam and, then has to appear for the interview. Students who have passed their bachelors degree in Science or Mathematics with 55 % marks.

IGNOU Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria – Postgraduate Courses

Master of Science (Dietetics and Food Services Management) (MSCDFSM)

  • Applicants must have a degree of B.Sc.(Home Science) in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition from recognised university or college OR
  • Applicants must pass PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition from recognised university or college OR
  • Applicants must pass B.Sc Graduates in BHHS, MBBS, etc. from the following streams – Life Science, Microbiology, Medical, Home Science/ Food Science and Technology, Catering, Pharmaceutical along with a DNHE/CFN/CNCC offered by IGNOU (Simultaneous admission for CNCC/CFN is also allowed)from recognised university or college students are eligible.

Master of Arts in Rural Development (MARD)

  • Applicants must pass Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Master of Science in Counselling and Family Therapy (MSCCFT)

Applicants must pass Bachelor’s degree with these subjects such as Child Development, Human Development and Family Studies, Child Development and Family Relationships, Human Development and Childhood Studies, Psychology, Home Science, Social Work, Medicine or other allied disciplines from a recognised university or college students are eligible. OR

Applicants must pass Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Education, MBBS or equivalent qualification in Unani, Ayurveda, Nursing, Siddha or Homeopathy Medicines, Nursing etc from a recognised university or college students are eligible. OR

Applicants must pass Bachelor’s degree with these subjects or Bachelor Degree with Pg Diploma with these subjects from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM)

  • Category 1 Applicants must pass BTS/BA(Tourism)/B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration(BHM)/ Bachelor’s in Hotel Management (approved by AICTE) and graduation in any field with a diploma in Tourism.
  • Category 2 – Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream. But a special course of tourism has been done by the applicants.

Master of Arts in English (MEG)

  • Applicants must pass Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Master of Arts in Hindi (MOH)

  • Applicants must pass Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Master of Social Work (MSW)

  • Applicants must pass Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Studies (BTS)

  • Applicants must pass class 12th from CBSE or any recognized state board.

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

  • Applicants must pass class 12th from CBSE or any recognized state board.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) (Revised)

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for the left out category. OR
  • Applicants must have a bachelor degree with a Diploma (One Year) in Library Science OR
  • Applicants must have a bachelor degree with a Diploma (Two Year) in Library and Information centre from a recognised university or college students are eligible.

Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP)-B.A./B.Com/B.Sc.

  • B.A – Applicants must pass class 12th from CBSE or any reconized state board. OR
  • B.Com – Applicants must pass class 12th from CBSE or any reconized state board. OR
  • B.Sc- Applicants must pass class 12th with science subjects from CBSE or any reconized state board.

Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP)

  • For this course applicants no need required any education quilification they must only 18 years old.

Bachelors of Education

  • Applicants must have 50% in graduation and Post Graduation in Sciences/Commerce/Humanity/Social Sciences. OR
  • Applicants must have a degree in Engineering or Technology in Mathematics and Science with atleast 55% of Marks.

IGNOU Registration 2020

Name and other details should be the same as mentioned in the educational documents.  You need to enter your name, educational details, date of birth and now you can log onto the portal with your email id and create a username and password of 6 letters and numbers. Use a functional and official email id and use the latest version of Google Chrome for a faster filling of the application form. Enter the captcha and verify your email id by checking your mail-id. After you have attached your photograph and uploaded your educational documents.  You can then pay the registration fees and get you to admit card from the Website after you enter the enrolment number.

About IGNOU Admission Admit Card

IGNOU University will release the admit card f the June exam now being held on 17 September. All official information will be available on its official Website: ignou.ac.in. One can get access to the admit card from their Website ignou.ac.in. You cannot enter without admit card. Check all details on the admit card before appearing. You can only download the admit card, no hard copy will be given.

How to Download IGNOU Admission Admit Card

Go to the Students corner of the Website. One needs to enter login details into the Website by entering the nine-digit enrolment number and then selecting the appropriate programme and click on submit. The admit card will open.

Visit the official Website:  Ignou.ac.in and go to student corner or student support. There will be an icon marked results. Click the term end exam or entrance exam option. You need to select your programme and enter your enrolment details and submit to check your results for the term-end examination of June now being held in September.

Visit the official site, enter your name and username, password, email id and enter all details, and upload your photograph and educational documents. Pay registration fees and download admit card.

What is the grading system in IGNOU?

 Ignou University has demarcated a grading system with the following pointers:
80-85%- A
70-75-B
60-65%-C
49-55 D
E- 40%

How can I download the admit card?

The admit card can be downloaded from the official Website from the Student’s corner by entering the enrolment details which will be of nine digits.
